E-GYAN NIDHI (egyannidhi.com) is a free online practice portal for NEET (UG) aspirants. This page explains what information we collect, why, and how we look after it.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, mobile number and email address, and, if you choose to give them, your age, gender, institution and city. Passwords are stored only in encrypted (hashed) form.
- Google sign-in: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive your Google password.
- Practice data: the tests you create and take, your answers, scores, time taken, bookmarks and review list, so that we can show your progress.
- Usage data: visit counts, and approximate location (country, region or city) worked out from your IP address, used only for overall statistics. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used.
- Feedback: anything you send us through the Feedback page or by email.
How we use it
- To create and secure your account, including sending a one-time code to verify your email.
- To run your tests and show your results, progress and weak topics.
- To reply to your queries and improve the questions and the portal.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.
- We do not show advertisements on the portal.
- We do not share your details with third parties, except the service providers that run the site (web hosting, email delivery, Google sign-in and Google Analytics), or where the law requires it.
Cookies
The site uses a session cookie to keep you logged in and to run tests, and Google Analytics uses cookies to measure visits. You can block cookies in your browser, but logging in and taking tests need the session cookie.
Keeping your data safe
The site is served over a secure (HTTPS) connection, and access to the database is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your password private.
Students under 18
Many NEET aspirants are under 18. We collect only what is needed to run the practice portal. Parents or guardians may contact us at any time to see or remove a student's information.
Your choices
You can ask us to correct or delete your account and practice data by writing to [email protected].
